Théa grew up in Orillia, and after 12 years away returned to Simcoe County in 2011 to escape the city and be closer to her family and the outdoors.  Prior to law, Théa obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at the University of Western Ontario.  She attended Dalhousie Law School in Halifax, Nova Scotia, graduating with a specialization in Health Law and Policy.  Théa began her legal career as a student and associate at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto.  While there she gained valuable skills defending hospitals and nurses at both the trial and appeal court levels, and representing clients in the area of forensic mental health.  

After practicing civil litigation at a large national law firm, Théa made the decision to transition to family law, where she'd have the opportunity to spend more one-on-one time with clients.  Théa now practices exclusively family law with Galbraith Family Law in Barrie.  Théa has completed training in Levels I and II of Collaborative Team Practice.  She believes in cost-efficient, client driven solutions.  She is committed to her clients and to ensuring they receive the best possible advice and range of options available to them.

Théa lives with her husband in Orillia.  In her spare time she enjoys hiking, jogging, skiing and travelling to far off places.
