Paul attended law school at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, where he focused on family law.  “Family law has always been my focus since I became a lawyer in2001,” Paul recalls.

In late 2004, Paul was appointed as a term member of what is now the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board, where he decided over 1,000 cases in 2005.  “I learned much from being an adjudicator,” Paul remembers, “but I really missed family law.”  He resigned from the Landlord and Tenant Board in early 2006 to focus again on family law.

Paul is comfortable and effective in all legal settings, as a negotiator or as a litigator.  He promotes collaborative practice as much as possible because, in his experience, it most often leads to the best long-term results for clients, and tends to be the most cost-effective for them as well.

Paul and his family live south of Barrie.  He is active in his local church and his children’s school.  He teaches a course at Humber College in its law clerk program.  In his remaining time, he enjoys songwriting. The greatest influences in Paul’s life are the Beatles and Martin Luther King.
